Kerouac Park Haikus
Jack wanted more people to express themselves, so my idea is for an installation that the public can use to create Kerouac-American-Haikus. It may be difficult to pull off, but what I’m imagining is similar to those installations which are common in playgrounds that have plastic letters you can spin to create simple three letter [Read more…]

Kittredge Park Festival
A festival to highlight the absurd idea that widening Nesmith St next to Kittredge Park will make the area safer or reduce congestion. Food trucks or other vendors could be invited. These lightboxes could hold art by students or by artists; advertisements for local businesses; downtown directory; or other visual media. These boxes can be found to be vandal-proof and high-quality and be placed where electrical already exists [Read more…]
This would provide extra light and color, enhancing people's feeling of safety. It would encourage people to park in garages and walk around downtown. Most importantly, it would serve as a pilot for bigger changes in parking garages like large public art installations, colored lights, music, or other improvements that [Read more…]
Light up the Sun sign
The lights on the historic Lowell Sun sign (on top of the building downtown) are entirely or mostly burnt out. I believe the sign should be repaired and be lit again. A DIY Lowell Team can work with the Historic Board, the Lowell Sun, and the owners of the building to create a fundraising campaign [Read more…]
