Recycle Art Exhibit

Idea:

Working with Lowell Litter Krewe, youth would gather litter from the streets and transform it into works of art to be exhibited at a local gallery.

Benefit:

involving the cities youth in keeping the city free of litter and transforming it into something beautiful.

Citywide.

Boutique Solar Craft Day!

Idea:

Gather neighbours together on a Saturday morning (use DIY social media) to learn how to assemble small scale solar panel systems at a pop-up table set up w/ all the kits & parts needed to assemble a small system capable of powering a small devise , cell phone, etc. Components to be provided by local [Read more…]

Benefit:

Community building exercise. Aso the systems assembled could be used to demonstrate how the potential of solar is applicable everywhere!

Drive in movies

Idea:

This idea would involve identifying a large parking lot or field near a building for a pop-up “drive in” theater. Walking Area

Idea:

Work with the City to create a temporary walking/patio area in downtown Lowell. This could be many areas, possibly on Merrimack St from John to Shattuck Streets no through track, emergency vehicles only. Benefit:

It would benefit the many businesses in the area. More comfortable outdoor dining for the restaurants and encourage or bring back other merchants such as gift shops, boutiques to that area. There are garages at each cardinal points within walking distance.

Homeless Laundry Service

Idea:

Create a feasibility study for a laundry service for homeless individuals that would also include a volunteer day to do laundry. Laundry service space for Homeless individuals and families to utilize to wash their clothes for free, utilizing donated space and utilities provided by the City of Lowell at local neighborhood Activity Centers and potential [Read more…]

Idea:

I think it would be nice to have a dog park where some dogs that don’t have backyards could run and play.
