Make Lowell Safer, Cleaner, and Drug-Free

Idea:

Clean up the garbage off ground, amke it so people are actually wanting to live in Lowell, and get addicts help.

Benefit:

It will be safer for children and women to live. No one will hate the city and want to leave.

Lowell Voices

Idea:

Develop an audio podcast series of the voices of the Lowell community with cooperation of area resources, individuals and their stories. Results will be understanding of individuals in the community, who are working to make their lives and the lives of their community better. We have selected the Acre community as our community of choice for our current outreach and engagement efforts. Do-it-Yourself (DIY) Lowell is an unincorporated community service group dedicated to helping community members make small-scale projects and events happen together. We place a high value on privacy. This policy was created to explain what type of information is collected from website visitors, DIY Lowell participants, and donors and how this information is used. Card to Culture

We are proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health's WIC Nutrition Program, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and hundreds of organizations by making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a participation barrier.

Most DIY Lowell annual events are free, but often have a suggested donation. No donation is suggested for EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare cardholders. See the complete list of participating organizations offering EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare discounts.
