United Flags of Lowell

Idea:

A mural of the many different ethnic flags that inhabit Lowell to show its bond of the different cultures standing together against ICE raids happening across Lowell and America.

Benefit:

It would bring to light the reality of how problematic ICE is and how it's a real problem that this community must band together for. As well as show off the bonds of all these different ethnics.

Summerween Market

Idea:

Celebrate Halloween in the heat! Jumping on the “Summerween” trend, this one-day public market combines all things spooky and summery. Ideally, this event would take place outdoors on a late summer day. This event would offer Lowell families a day of no-to-low-cost fun, bolster local businesses, and provide a bit of joy at a time when it's much needed. Fix-It Fair or Repair Cafe

Idea:

Some libraries operate “fix-it fairs” where community members share their expertise in various areas by fixing things that need repairs. Graffiti Dike

Idea:

The Centralville side of the Merrimack has a concrete dike along VFW Highway. Lowell artists would render one or more of their existing works at a larger size – the full height of the dike.
