Repaint Sidewalk Sam’s Peace Doves

Idea:

Boston artist Sidewalk Sam had painted peace doves in several locations. They need repainting and he has since passed away. As a former volunteer, I would love to repaint them and more in his memory.

Reminders of peace in highly visible places during times of violence. See Bob Guilleman, "Sidewalk Sam"

Location:

Downtown / JAM, OldIdea.

Location:

Downtown / JAM.

We are proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health's WIC Nutrition Program, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and hundreds of organizations by making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a participation barrier.

Most DIY Lowell annual events are free, but often have a suggested donation. No donation is suggested for EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare cardholders. See the complete list of participating organizations offering EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare discounts.

This program is supported in part by a grant from MassHumanities; in part by the City of Lowell; and in part by the following Comet-level sponsors:
