Idea:

A DIY Lowell team would map the trash cans in the city (or ask for a map from city officials) and ideate/explore and suggest the places in the city that would benefit from additional trash or recycling bins. Neighborhood Evolution

Idea:

Interactive display/gallery of neighborhood maps in each neighborhood and how they’ve changed over the years, including personal/family story sharing and zoning education.

Benefit:

It would allow Lowellians and tourists to see how the city's neighborhoods and grown and changed over the years and hear personal stories from Lowell's history.

Location:

Citywide, OldIdea.

Card to Culture

We are proud to participate in Mass Cultural Council's Card to Culture program in collaboration with the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Department of Public Health's WIC Nutrition Program, the Massachusetts Health Connector, and hundreds of organizations by making cultural programming accessible to those for whom cost is a participation barrier.

Most DIY Lowell annual events are free, but often have a suggested donation. No donation is suggested for EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare cardholders. See the complete list of participating organizations offering EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare discounts.
